(Operations Level)

This voluntary Rescue Certification entails many aspects of the rescue company’s response. Not only does this certification involve the equipment on the apparatus it takes into account extensive training (Basic Rescue Practices, Advanced First Aid, Hazardous Materials Operations Level Training, and Basic Vehicle Rescue Technician Level Certified), and the policies that run your operations. This is much like an ambulance licensure making standardization across the board for all rescue companies.

Many of the members at Perry Hi-Way have gone on to take the Core Certification Test and once successful at that obtained certifications in Vehicle Machinery, Confined Space Rescue. Members have also gone on to receive certifications in Haz-Mat Awareness and Operations levels.

Overall Perry Hi-Way is proud that all the hard work that everyone has put into the certification process both personally and Department wide as it had paid off. We are seeing more companies work towards achieving the same goal and look forward to hearing about their success.
