When was the last time you impacted your community in a major way? Have you ever considered becoming an Emergency Responder for your local fire department? Perry Hi-Way Hose Company is currently accepting applications for all positions within the department.
Whether you want to actively participate in Emergency Medical Responses, Fire and Rescue operations, or help the community through fundraising and support projects to keep this department an ongoing success. Perry Hi-Way is one of the busiest volunteer departments in Erie County. In order to make this department a success we rely on local donations to keep the department running but most of all we rely on dedicated members to volunteer their time and effort to train for and respond to emergencies within the county.
College Students, Perry Hi-Way offers free wireless internet at both stations, along with lounges and areas for quiet studying in between emergency calls. Perry Hi-Way offers free training for EMS (EMT level) and fire / rescue, and pro-board testing for national certification. Perry Hi-Way also offers an insurance incentive program for all members who meet certain participation requirements.
If you would like to make an impact on your community and gain experience and training to better yourself for the future, volunteering may be your best opportunity.
